MOVEMENT ENHANCEMENT THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

  • Utilizes client history, various assessments and objective findings to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan.

  • Strategizes quantifiable goals to enhance performance, optimize movement and improve overall health.

  • Emphasizes a four pillared approach to identify dysfunctional patterns and how they are stored in the brain and body.

  • Maintains awareness of the causative effects of the limbic system.

  • Develops resilience through progressive self regulation exposing truest potential.

FOUR PILLARS

FASCIAL SYSTEM | Understanding the role of fascia in movement and its ability to respond to manual therapy. How the fascia is influenced by movement and manipulation and its relationship with the nervous system, muscular system, digestive system and respiratory system.

NERVOUS SYSTEM | As resilient as the nervous system is, maintaining a superior environment, stimuli and information will produce a greater opportunity to thrive.  Understanding how the brain stores movement patterns, not individual muscle movements and facilitating desired change in addition to how the nervous system communicates with the endocrine system ultimately reshapes how we can optimize our life experience.

LIMBIC SYSTEM | Chronic pain and dysfunctional movement patterns are often recognized in the brain as a potential norm and 80% of perceived pain has an emotional component.  Understanding how our emotional selves impact how me move or emote leads us towards a more favorable environment. The effects of our emotional patterning are essential in recognizing its relevancy in treatment approach and findings revealing truest expression.

SELF REGULATION | Increased frequency of manual therapy will produce a more effective result than individual sessions and create change at a cellular level. Progressive rather than aggressive treatments yield optimal change. Healing takes endurance and stamina and with this desired commitment to change, one can discover their optimal selves.
